Description and objective: Course Objective: the first half of the course will focus on the preparation necessary for writing effective copy. What useful connections are there between your product and target audience? What impact do you want to make? What action do you want the audience to take? With these objectives in mind, the delegates will begin to explore different starting points for the structure of a piece, whether it is a letter, report or proposal.
The second half will focus on producing clear, easy-to-read copy. Delegates will learn to construct a skeleton for the copy, hooking together ideas and images as building blocks. They will investigate ways of deploying tone, emotion and key phrases for the right results.
Throughout the course, the delegates will test out ideas and techniques with practical exercises as a group, in pairs and individually.
Suitable for: Delegates with a desire to improve the impact of their written communications.
Complementary Courses: Writing Letters That Sell; Writing Successful Proposals; Effective Business English
