Description and objective: To enable individuals to develop skills and techniques in being more assertive and in dealing with non-assertive behaviour from staff, colleagues and clients.

Course Objectives:
·Understand the difference between aggressive, manipulative and passive behaviour
·Have a clear understanding of assertive behaviour; assertive verbal language and assertive body language
·Develop skills in saying No and making a request
·Consider the links between assertive communication and self esteem
·Develop strategies for building up confidence
