Data Quality Basics: Introduction to Measurement Uncertainty

Description and objective: The basics of data quality assessment will be presented. Students will be able to grasp the fundamental principles of "THE FOUR KEY WORDS." These are: ERROR, UNCERTAINTY, SYSTEMATIC AND RANDOM. The principles behind both the US and International uncertainty models will be presented. At the conclusion of this training, students will be able to produce simplified analysis of their data quality, measurement uncertainty.
